NCH in Wales

NCH has been working in Wales since 1911. NCH Cymru provides more support services for children and families in Wales than any other voluntary childcare organisation, and employs around 900 staff.

Most of our work is community-based including Family & Neighbourhood Centres, Outreach Family Support, Early Years Services, Support for Disabled Children and their Families and Family Group Conferences. We also work with vulnerable young people; young people who are in the care of Local Authorities or who are Leaving Care; young carers; young parents; disabled young people; young people who have been abused.

NCH Cymru works in partnership with Local Authorities, Health Bodies, The Probation Service, CAFCASS, Housing Bodies, the Welsh Assembly Government and other children’s organisations.

NCH Cymru also manages residential units across Wales; most of which provide short breaks for disabled children and young people. A small number of units are home to young people who are, or have been in the care of Local Authorities.
